Marathon GPQ Stainless Steel Official USAF™ Officer's Watch
Description
The Marathon General Purpose Field Watch in Steel is a re-interpretation of the historic Marathon GG-W-113 field watch used throughout the 1980s by the US Army. It is built to Government specifications for use by military personnel.
The Marathon Official USAF™ Officer's Watch is officially licensed by the United States Air Force. A three-dimensional, reflective, silver alloy appliqué of the official United States Air Force insignia is emblazoned prominently on the dial of this unique watch. The case back is also engraved with the official United States Air Force insignia.

The case is made from 316L surgical grade stainless steel with a sand-blasted graphite grey, non-reflective finish and has a water resistance of 3 ATM or 30 meters. The glass lens is made from sapphire crystal to provide ultimate scratch resistance, overall durability, and clarity of dial viewing, all essential factors for military personnel.
To assist in low light viewing, the dial uses tritium tubes for the hour indices as well as hour and minute hands. Tritium is a self-illuminating gas which will provide a 24/7 glow without the need for recharging.
Powered by a Swiss made, high torque, 3 jewel ETA F06 Quartz movement, the GPQ guarantees you a high degree of accuracy in timekeeping. The ETA F06 is accurate to -0.3/+0.5 seconds per day and also includes an End of Life (EOL) indicator alerting the wearer up to 3 months in advance of when a battery replacement is required. The EOL indicator will advance the seconds hand once every 4 seconds to inform you that a battery change is needed. Furthermore, the movement is built with a shock-resistant hacking mechanism and displays the date on the dial between 4 and 5 o'clock. It also has an easy-set date function.
This watch is very power-efficient with an expected battery life of up to 68 months.
Included with the Marathon General Purpose Field Watch is a one piece nylon military strap which is made in accordance with MIL-S-46383B Type II and provides comfort and durability while remaining lightweight.
